Back on TV: ‘Customs in Action’

In the second season of the series, dozens of customs officers are again being shadowed during their exciting work.

The second season of the TV series Customs in Action started airing on RTL 5 at the beginning of March. The programme once again offers viewers a unique look behind the scenes of Dutch Customs.

In eight new episodes, customs officers are closely followed during their exciting and unpredictable work in the ports, at airports and on board ships, from Lauwersoog all the way to Maastricht. This involves almost all aspects of customs supervision, including checks on excise duty, narcotics and weapons and ammunition. A special feature for this season is the so-called civilian team of Customs at Schiphol Airport. This special undercover unit is deployed to counter the smuggling of banned substances through the airport. This series also pays special attention to supervision in and around the Dutch ferry terminals. This is an additional customs task now that Brexit is a fact.

Customs in Action is due to be aired on RTL5 in the coming weeks at 20:30, Thursday evenings. You can watch the repeats on RTL XL and Videoland, in case you missed it.
